Bio
Ryan O’Sullivan is a Solicitor within the Commerce and Technology Unit at the national law firm Shoosmiths. Having graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in English Literature, Ryan completed the GDL and LPC at Nottingham Law School, achieving a distinction in his LPC. Ryan joined Shoosmiths as a trainee in September 2005 and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2007.
Experience
Ryan advises on a wide range of non-contentious commercial matters, specialising in IT Law. Recent experience includes:
- Advising a retail client on the installation and maintenance of a new electronic point of sale system for use throughout its stores;
- Drafting and negotiating various software licence, development and maintenance agreements for IT purchasers and vendors;
- Drafting and negotiating website referral terms for price comparison websites;
- Drafting and negotiating agreements for use of software as a service; and
- Advising on the insourcing of HR and payroll facilities by the UK arm of a global business.
